"The call went out and the call was answered. Approximately 20 people showed up on Sunday, July 18, 2004, for a beautiful day of Trap Shooting at Elk Rapids Sportsman's Club. A total of 45 rounds of Trap was shot, or 1,125 clays thrown.

The more experienced helped the less experienced, and extra trap guns, shell bags and shooting jackets were on hand for the use of those who needed them.........including an extra box of shells or two for anyone who found they needed more.

Trap shooting assistance and equipment will be available every other Sunday throughout the season for anyone wishing to participate. If you want to be notified, send email to Richard Hoadley(Doc) and you will get an email reminder. For information contact Doug Fowler .

It should be noted that this is not a gender or age exclusive sport but open to all who wish to participate. Ladies equipment and assistance are available from experienced lady shooters also on the scene".
